Venkateswara Narla, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist at ECCA with more than 45 years of experience in cardiology and internal medicine. Dr. Narla has been in private practice since 1995 and now works with patients throughout Manchester, Hartford, and South Windsor, Connecticut. 

After earning his undergraduate degree in biology from the R.L.S. Institute in Belgaum, Karnataka, India, in 1971, Dr. Narla attended Rangaraya Medical College in Kakinada, India, as well as Magadh Medical College in Gaya, India. Upon graduating in 1978, Dr. Narla completed his internship at Government General Hospital.

Dr. Narla ultimately relocated to New York City to complete a surgical internship, internal medicine internship and residency, and a cardiology fellowship at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. He now holds privileges at several hospitals throughout Connecticut, including Manchester Memorial Hospital in Manchester, Rockville General Hospital in Rockville, and St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford.

An expert in his field, Dr. Narla’s specialties include the diagnosis and treatment of conditions like heart disease, stroke, acute coronary syndrome, high cholesterol and blood pressure, and heart attack. He has extensive training in echocardiograms, vascular ultrasounds, EKGs, and more.
